Summer News from Addgene

AAV-gradientWe’re in the midst of year three of our ready-to-use viral service. The service has grown rapidly and includes tools for optogenetics, chemogenetics, CRISPR, and more. We've been continuing to optimize our protocols for viral yield and quality. One of these strategies uses sucrose supplementation to improve yield which we published at the end of 2018. Now, we’re expanding to meet the needs of the scientific community by offering small aliquots of AAV for serotype testing (see below).

During this time, we’ve also developed numerous educational resources for using viral vectors in the lab. We have viral protocols and videos (see below), a series of blog posts on viral vectors, and a viral vectors eBook. Whether you are new to viral vectors, or looking to learn about the latest tools, be sure to check them out. In the meantime, let us know how we can help you by filling out our suggest a plasmid or viral service suggestion forms.

New from the Viral Service

We now offer trial size 20 µL aliquots of control AAV expressing GFP. This smaller sample size allows comparing the tropism of different serotypes before performing larger scale experiments.
